The Safeway Step® is a product and installation method designed to provide an economical renovation option for individuals and facilities interested in easier access into the bathtub area. The Safeway Step® can be used to retrofit your bath tub into a walk in shower. Installation of the Safeway Step® includes cutting a section of the existing tub and custom fitting the resulting opening with a Safeway Step®. The Safeway Step® can be installed in most types of bathtubs, including - fiberglass, steel or even cast iron!

Safeway Step Installation
The cast iron tub before the Safeway Step door is installed.
Using a special blade, we cut into the cast iron tub, creating an opening of the Safeway Step door.
Risers are added to give a strong base, supporting the Safeway Step door.
A water proof barrier is added to keep the outside seams of the Safeway step door leak-proof.
Once installed, the Safeway Step door gives you the advantages of the Safeway step with the convenience of a door to take a bath.
With additional accessories such as safety bars and glide bars, bathing becomes a stress-free activity again!
